Hi, I’m Keila Smothers
as the owner of Smothers Bookkeeping Co. I help small business owners feel confident and supported by providing informed, reliable bookkeeping services.
The foundation of my expertise comes from earning my Associate of Applied Science in Accounting and Tax Preparation Certificate at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon. Chemeketa is where I trained under several distinguished CPA instructors, learning and executing core accounting principles, payroll, financial statement creation and analysis, and tax preparation.
I chose to pursue accounting after a 10‑year career in hospitality, where I witnessed catastrophic accounting failures that deeply affected business owners and their employees. That experience is why I built my practice not as a side hustle, but as a professional career rooted in integrity and genuine care for the people I serve.
